Motivated by compassion and a yearning for the world to be a better place, Andy Platt is amongst the most evocative and thought provoking of British singer songwriters. His songs, from the passionately heart-breaking, to the incisive, are his weapon of choice.

Former headteacher, cancer survivor, father, twice-failed accountant, musical producer, postman; these are all the stops along the way of a life lived. Whether as a solo performer, with the more soulful sound of the Andy Platt Band or in his musical theatre creation, No Horizon, Andy's music and lyrics reflect that life and consistently stir the heart, mind and soul.

Andy's Other Work

Written by Andy Platt, No Horizon is the musical inspired by blind genius, Nicholas Saunderson. Saunderson’s life was an astonishing triumph against the odds. With a £90,000 Arts Council grant the show was set to tour in March 2020, before Covid forced the cancellation, two days before. The re-staged tour is set for Spring 2023. Dates to be announced.

In his own words, Andy’s music is borne of a mix of ‘getting some things right, getting many things wrong, seeing beauty, seeing injustice, knowing love and knowing pain.’
